WATCH OUT FOR THIS ACCOUNT HIJACKING APPLICATION!!!

This application has been floating around Facebook for over a year now and over the past few weeks I have seen it making a comeback and several of my friends have has their accounts taken over by it! 


DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE THIS APPLICATION! It shows up under a number of aliases but the page it directs you to always looks the same! Once you hit login it will immediately gain access to all of your personal information including you password. 

It will then start auto-posting comments on your profile page, sending out application suggestions, and sending private chat messages to anybody online in your friends list. TO THE POINT IT WILL PUT YOUR ACCOUNT INTO A TEMPORARY BAN ON POSTING! 


Check your application settings on a regular basis to make sure there aren't any you don't recognize. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND ALWAYS INVESTIGATE AN APPLICATION BEFORE ALLOWING IT ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT!



According to Facebook Support:

Can I see who's viewed my profile? There's a group or application claiming I can find out who has been viewing my profile.

Facebook does not provide applications or groups with the technical means to allow people to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom. If an application claims to provide this functionality, please report the application by going to the application’s About page and clicking "Report Application" at the bottom of the page, or by clicking "Report" at the bottom of any canvas page within the application.

Applications you use may ask for permission to access content from your News Feed and Wall. Granting this permission does not allow applications to see who has viewed your profile. It simply allows applications to see which friends have interacted with posts, such as which friends liked or engaged with a particular wall post.

As I said before always be careful when adding an app and check the legitimacy of an app. Facebook has tons of useful info in their help section on scams as well and you should always check with them first if you even have to question installing it.
