Direct Relief International is a nonprofit that delivers medical aid where it’s needed most around the world. Direct Relief has been responding to emergencies for decades and is working to help the people of Japan recover from the recent earthquake and tsunami.

To help in the unfolding crisis in Japan, Direct Relief has:

Committed $600,000 in cash for relief efforts
Identified $15 million in medical material aid that stands ready to help
Established a fund with the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), the oldest Asian American organization in the U.S., to ensure that our emergency aid truly helps the people of Japan. Learn more here
